Johnny Manzon-Santos
Johnny is passionate about surfacing connections. Since 1985 he has been engaged in peace and social justice movements as an activist, organizer, and client advocate. A strategic thinker with deep experience in the nonprofit sector, he served 15 years as executive director of health/HIV agencies. Currently, as a professional certified coach, consultant and co-principal of pearldiving LLC, Johnny invites emerging and seasoned leaders to tell the truth, align head-heart-stomach-spirit, and lead from where we are—with fierceness, humor and humanity. With an eye toward integrating issues of power, privilege, rank and culture, he trains and mentors coaches as a faculty member with Leadership that Works. Johnny grew up in a working class military family, the youngest child of Filipino immigrants to the US. An avid adult figure skater he competes in singles freestyle, same-sex pairs and ice dance. He also co-parents a wise and joyful toddler named Andrés.
Scotty McCaulley
" I started the practice of yoga 20 years ago and passionately fell in love with it after my very first class. I eventually became an iyengar-style yoga instructor after a three-year training program at the Yoga Room in Berkeley , CA. I've been teaching for the past 14 years and expect to teach many more years to come.
I've seen the power of yoga demonstrated in a myriad of ways in the lives of my students over these many years and I am continually amazed as to its breadth, depth and power for healing and transformation. "
Ellie Schindelman
Ellie is excited to be working as a coach and consultant after transitioning from a 35-year career at the University of California. She completed the Coaching for Transformation coach certification program through Leadership that Works in 2013, a program that emphasizes social justice and cultural competence. In developing “Envision Your Future”, Ellie brought together her wide ranging passions and experiences from a long career in leadership development, public health, and training & organizational development. After completing the coach training, going on a Vision Quest, and drawing on her personal experiences with the power of the natural world and her interest in yoga, Ellie decided to create a new program that offers coaching and yoga for transformation within a community setting. Ellie is thrilled to have the chance to unleash her entrepreneurial spirit and partner with colleagues and friends in this program. Ellie believes that everyone has dreams (although we may not remember them…) – and that we deserve the chance to uncover, explore and follow them. Now in her encore career, or “third act”, Ellie is following her own dreams with “Envision Your Future”, and is happy to have more time for bicycling, yoga, tap dancing - and her awesome godchildren. Ellie holds an MPH, was trained in counseling and organizational development, and has enjoyed coaching young adults, emerging leaders/professionals, and anyone interested in change - throughout her career at UC and in her private coaching practice.
