Ellie has spent her career finding ways to engage her passions for career and leadership development, counseling and coaching, education, wilderness, creative expression, social justice, leading group adventure travel, and facilitating transformative experiences in group settings. In 2013, she completed an intensive coach training program with
Leadership That Works, and began her "third act" - developing
Envision Coaching and Consulting. Ellie was inspired to create a new opportunity for people in transition that incorporates coaching in a community setting, with an emphasis on nature-based exploration, yoga and “soul-connection”.
Ellie believes that everyone has dreams (although we may not remember them…) – and that we deserve the chance to uncover, explore and follow them. She brings to her work a core belief that we are all capable of identifying what really matters to us, envisioning a path to a future we desire, and of making courageous choices to bring that vision to life. The same is true for organizations! In her coaching
practice, Ellie specializes in career/life coaching for early and mid-career
professionals who are trying to figure out their first career direction, or
make a change in their jobs/careers. Ellie works with clients to strengthen
their self-confidence, identify their core values, resurface their deepest
dreams for how they would like to make a contribution in the world, and take
actions to create their future.
In her consulting practice, Ellie works with a wide range of organizations, including state and county health departments and UC, in the areas of organizational development, leadership coaching, education & training, and communications.
As she develops her encore career, Ellie is following her own dreams by creating the Envision Your Future program, and making more time for adventures in the outdoors, yoga, tap dancing - and her awesome godchildren – whose curiosity, creativity and open-hearted approach to life model the way for her.
Ellie continues her work developing and leading adventure travel trips - which were first designed for families, and now are open to adults of all ages. Trips have included: Bhutan, Patagonia, Southeast Asia, Peru, Mexico, Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Alaska. The next trip (June 2016) is to Ecuador.
